This gives you the best opportunity of creating your perfect custom ribbon out there. These options aren’t exclusive either and are available to all customers. This makes us more confident than ever that we can achieve your ultimate ribbon design that perfectly fits your brief.
We offer sublimation transfer, rotary letterflex, screen and hot stamped foil processes to create the perfect personalised ribbon. Here is a quick breakdown of the processes to help you decide on the best option for you:
  • Sublimation transfer – ideal for bright colours and vibrant designs, here we transfer the dye from paper to polyester ribbon using heat and pressure
  • Rotary letterflex – this is a popular option for those with more complex briefs. Our rotary letterflex process transfers ink from photo polymer plates via anilox rollers for ribbon which is intricate and stand-out
  • Screen – One of our most versatile processes, great for creating a variety of coloured ribbons, here we simply apply the ink to the ribbon through mesh screens containing the image
  • Hot stamped foil – Ideal for luxurious looking foiled ribbon, this process uses a metal plate to heat transfer your foil design directly onto the ribbon.
When opting for a completely personalised, custom made ribbon, you can generally expect a slightly longer wait time then when you are ordering directly from stock. This gives us opportunity to perfect the personalised ribbon design that you are looking for, using our extremely talented and experienced in house team, as well as cutting edge machinery. The lead times on your printed ribbon will vary depending on the process you opt for, the availability of the base ribbon and the quantity you require. To get a rough idea of how long you can expect to wait for your order, please contact our team who will be happy to advise.
Here at Berisfords Ribbons, we specialise in the manufacture of five ribbon materials, in order to achieve the best quality and finish every time. These are:
  • Grosgrain ribbon
  • Satin ribbon
  • Taffeta ribbon
  • Rustic taffeta
  • Recycled satin ribbon
However, this is not to say that this is just limited to these materials. You will be happy to know that you can print on most polyester ribbon types, so have you got something specific in mind? If so, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we can discuss in more detail.
We often deal with enquiries from customers that ask about the durability of our printed ribbons, and this is completely understandable! After all, you wouldn’t want to leave your ribbon hidden away in case it gets dirty, and any wash will fade it’s colour. All of our personalised ribbons are washable, with the exception of ribbons printed using foil, so any ribbon produced by us will be sure to last for many years to come.

We can print personalised ribbons from 5mm to 70mm, however, this depends on the type of method used. So contacting one of the team will give you a clearer idea on what width fits your design best.

The prices of our custom personalised ribbons depend on a variety of factors. This includes it’s base, the process and volume that you require in order for it to be made to your requirements. However, a general ballpark figure we can give you is that prices start from 13p per metre. But if you are looking for a more personalised quote to allow you to come to a better informed decision, then don’t hesitate to contact a member of the team.
The lead time for personalised ribbons varies on the ability to source the raw material that is needed for your ribbon, and the capacity that we have in the factory for your order.
